Master Thesis: Prototype for direct artificial sunlight

In Stockholm and Skellefteå, we’re developing our LiDAR system. Our responsibilities range from product lead, optics, mechanics, electronics to SW development and system engineering. To our aid we also have a modern and fully equipped testing facility.
Background: LiDAR is an emerging technology enabling autonomous vehicles (AV) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) by providing high resolution range measurements.
In all phases of development it’s of high importance to be able to test LiDAR:s in a controlled and realistic environment. One important test-case, where test equipment development is needed, is when direct sunlight illuminates the sensor.
Purpose: The goal is to first gather requirements for a direct artificial sunlight set-up and then implement and test a prototype (based on off-the shelf components) capable of meeting the basic test-requirements
